"Aquarius" 파트는 이들의 1967년 히트곡 "Up, Up and Away"와 흡사한 스타일의 멜로디 연주로 곡이 시작된다. 얼마 후 그룹 멤버 플로렌스 라루와 마릴린 맥쿠가 "When the moon is in the Seventh House"부터 "And love will steer the stars"까지의 가사를 부르고, "This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius" 부분에서 리드 싱어 빌리 데이비스 주니어의 보컬이 들어온다. 동시에 [[혼 섹션]]과 스트링 섹션이 추가되고 템포가 빨라지는 등 곡의 분위기가 변화한다. 이후 "When the moon (when the moon) is in the Seventh House"부터 "And love will steer the stars" 부분은 위의 1절과 비슷하지만 플로렌스 라루, 마릴린 맥쿠, 빌리 데이비스 주니어 이렇게 3명이 부르며, 그 다음의 "This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius"부터 "Aquarius"까지는 [[혼 섹션]], 스트링 섹션의 사용이 더 두드러지게 되어 위의 동일한 파트보다도 더 웅장하고 화려해진다.
