영국 가수이자 연주자인 Chaz Jankel 작곡, Kenny Young 작사의 노래이다.

1980년에 작곡자 Chaz Jankel에 의해서 최초로 녹음된 후 A&M레코드에서 발매된 데뷔작의 셀프 타이틀 앨범 'Chaz Jankel'에 수록됐지만 1981년 [[퀸시 존스]]에 의한 커버가 디스코 음악으로 히트하면서 널리 알려지게 되었다.

== 곡명의 의미 ==
곡명인 Ai No Corrida는 1976년 프랑스 일본 합작 영화 [[감각의 제국]]의 일본어 제목인 '愛のコリーダ'(사랑의 투우)에서 채용되었다.

한국어 제목인 [[감각의 제국]]은 영어 제목인 'In The Realm Of The Sens'[* 프랑스어 제목은 L'Empire des sens]를 번역한 것으로, 한국에서는 사실상 '아이노코리다' 라는 말 자체가 [[퀸시 존스]]의 디스코 곡이라고 알려져 있는 경향이 있다.

그런데 유튜브에 Ai No Corrida를 치면 검색결과가 나오지 않는데, 바로 Corrida라는 [[스페인어]] 단어 때문이다. Corrida는 원래 의미는 질주라는 명사이지만 비속어로 오르가즘이라는 뜻이 있어서, 유튜브에서 비속어와 관련된 단어를 치면 검색이 나오지 않는 것이다.

퀸시 존스 본인은 프로듀싱만 했고, 가수는 Dune(Charles May)과 Patti Austin이다. 이 곡은 역시 퀸시 존스에 의한 커버가 디스코 음악으로 크게 히트하면서 널리 알려지게 되었다.

이 곡은 [[빌보드 소울 차트]] 최고 10위, [[빌보드 핫 100]]에서도 최고 28위를 기록했다. 영국에서는 최고 14위를 기록했다. 일본 오리콘 양악 싱글 차트에서는 1981년 7월 6일부터 12주 연속 1위를 기록하며 1981년 연간 차트 1위를 차지했다.
